I made these months back & they are so fantastically cute! I just made mine based on a similar hat I bought from http://www.vags.net last year, I wanted bigger kitty ears though so made one & started from there.

All modelled by my 'modelling head':

They're pretty easy to make if I get the time a tutorial attempt shall pop up.

That's just so cute!! Are they big enough to fit a whole bunch of dreads in? or has the model just got a small head? hehe... A tutorial would be very sweet  Kiss

you can actually the models head is tiny but dreaded heads can fit in them

& I'll try & do a bog standard tutorial soon as I've got to knock a new hat up for an ebay auction so I'll photograph it then

tutorial for bunny ears hat:

Ignore the fluff on my floor, that long pile fur moults so badly!

cut out your basic 'hat' shape, I make mine to measure 26" all around so each panel is 13" by 9.5" to allow head room, make it to whatever size you want though.
Pin this out & cut out your 2 hat panels.

Next you'll need your bunny ears! Now I make mine to measure 7" by 4" so they're big enough and floppy enough.
Pin out 2 panels in fleece for the backs of the ears:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v95/queenoftiaras/craft/hattut2.jpg

Then you'll need your fluff or whatever fabric you choose for the rest of the ears, the exact same measurements pin & cut them out:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v95/queenoftiaras/craft/hattut3.jpg

Now before you sew you'll need to turn these around so the fluff & best side of the fleece face inwards, sew all of the sides except for the base of the ears, you'll need this gap to turn them back to the right way around!

Then pin the ears to the hat panels, you'll need to pin them this way around as pictured:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v95/queenoftiaras/craft/hattut4.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v95/queenoftiaras/craft/hattut5.jpg
this way when you turn the hat to the right way around your ears will be in the right place!

Now pin your hat panels together:

& carefully sew the hat up, when done check over to see that theres no gaps or 'cock ups' otherwise you now need to make a hem, simply fold the hat edges over so they are both even & sew, if you've got an overlocker it's easier to use that.

Now turn your hat the right way around & you should have a bunny/cabbit earred hat.

This actualy looks easy enough for me to do!! Great! Are the kitty ears kind of easy to do too?
