This is my first graphic for my etsy shop. I've posted it to livejournal and a few other places. I'm not completely happy with it, but not sure how to improve it. Can you guys give me any pointers?

Did I mention that my boyfriend is a graphic design major and still hasn't designed a website, business cards, or even a logo for me? Bah.

To be honest I don't really like your leaf-y background, it doesn't really tie into the whole "look" very well. I'd probably leave the background white. Keep in mind this rule in graphic design: KISS. Keep it simple, stupid. (not calling YOU stupid, but you know what I mean, I hope, haha.)

I do appreciate the different fonts that sort of "illustrate" the different items you're selling; it's a very good idea.

And as for your slacker boyfriend... tsk tsk. Although, logos are one of the hardest things to do, because it needs to be simple yet interesting.

Good luck with it all!

Thank you serenity! Don't worry, I know about KISS. My Design class meets in 8 hours (I should get sleep).

To explain my choices: I used the leaf background because I originally took the photos of my bags against ivy. That's why there are still real leaves surounding the bags.

I think I should have made the entire thing smaller, it seems too spread out right now.

I had a thread about choosing my logo...I think it's on the second page now.

Thanks again for the honest critique.
