Personal swaps??

i would definately use a thread for personal swaps. i think that the classifieds are meant for this, among other things, but it doesn't look like the classifieds get checked very often.

Maybe there could be some type of thing on your profile where it says "Accepts Personal Swaps: (Yes/No)" so people would know in advance in case they were thinking of PMing you?

Maybe there should be a thread for ppl looking out for personal swaps? I mean..its not that easy when you dont know anybody at all.. this idea just struck me..

YEAH that's a great idea, I find classifieds too specific and not enough used to be useful anyways (being not exactly 'part' of the boards). Also does anyone think 'Classifieds' should be renamed 'Trades'.

Also I think trades and swaps are kinda different - maybe I am focusing too much on the semiotics, but trading is with something your already have and swapping is making some (craft or package) specific to your partner, so there is room for both person to person trading AND private swaps!

I really love the idea of personal swaps but like a lot of other people I get nervous about PMing random people.
