Personal swaps??

I was wondering how to get into a personal swap... I have been here for some time but I havent really posted much (mostly admiring the prjects^^) and I dont really know anybody.. and i cant just PM sb out of the blue and say Hey wanna do a swap oO;;; heh..   
ok so um..nevermind. I just wanted to vent it out ...

With both of my private swaps what happened is that one of us noticed that we have the same interest, or really admired each others crafts and PMed the other.

well I guess I'll have to dig in the forums a bit more (they're so HUGE i never know where to go ... so usually I just browse random topics oO') and be a bit more outgoing.. =)

avantasia, what are you looking for? I'd be happy to swap supplies or finished product. I'm in the middle of ' recycle my extra craft supplies'. Where I mail first and when received they craft me something back. Very trusting, I know, but no flaker's to date and I have 31 names on my mail out list. Just try it you'll soon be addicted. d

I haven't done personal swaps, but I would like to. I love the personal quality of the wish swap. Ive gotten to "know" some really cool people. I think, part of it, is that I just love the idea of sharing my creations with people. I think my family is so used to me making "random crap" as my sister so eloquently puts it, that they don't realize how much it means to me for someone to WANT my creations. :-D

Maybe there should be a thread for ppl looking out for personal swaps? I mean..its not that easy when you dont know anybody at all.. this idea just struck me..

I think that's a good idea. I would love to get involved in some personal swaps but i'm abit too scared to pm people incase they say no!

Maybe this idea could be suggested to this forum's moderators? (I mean the swap forums mods) ... I think there would be more people interested ^_^
