I think it's a GREAT idea!  I'd love to participate.  But I won't be able to for a few weeks. I'm involved in my first swap now.

I'm so glad you mentioned a delay in starting. I would be first in line for a phantom swap, but am swamped
with. . . life, it would seem. I will join though, if I can!

I was thinking we could do this swap in February to give everybody time to recover financially from christmas. Does anyone have a problem with this?

I'm good for February, but you may want to post something quick every week or two to keep bumping it up near the top so new people can look forward to it too... and so we don't foget about it.

I'm thinking about this one too...are we talking POTO the play or the Movie...

OR would you be ASKING this in the sign-up questionnaire???

I've only seen the movie and read the book.  I know that some people that LOVED the play think the movie is a cheesy bastardized version and LOATHE(!!!) it, I on the other hand love anthing concerning Gerard Butler ( Kiss Kiss Kiss) and would love to swap with some one who liked the movie.

I must say (don't shoot me!) I liked the movie a bit better than the play.

But I think it could be either or.

So... am I organizing or is someone else?

I think it should be both. I personally like the play better. I am going to see it in july. I can not wait. I am totally in when this happens.

If the craft has the mask and rose on it, or says the phantom of the opera, does it really matter whether it was intended to be from the play or the movie?  I could go for either, like them both.  If we getr really technical we could ask if you prefer the Toronto or London cast of the musical.

So i guess the important question is: who DOESNT like the play and who DOESNT like the movie? I like both.

No... but if I'm organizing, which I think I am, the questionaire will probably ask whether you're going from the play or the movie.

That's a good idea. The good thing is that there are icons that fit both of them. I am SO excited about this!

Ah, Susan Kay's Phantom  . . . better than the musical or the movie!  I've read several versions of the story over the years and it's the best.  Frederick Forsyth's Phantom of Manhattan is easily the worst.  Ann Stuart's Night of the Phantom is so bad it's kind of amusing.  And the list goes on and on . . .

Sure! I'll start sign-ups within the next couple of days!

Sign-ups will be short, prolly with a maximum (of necessary) of twenty people... with a long crafting time.

Sound good?
