Very pretty, I love the color of that material.

i dig, ecinahs3000, especially about the tops business! i have been procrastinating on the bottoms of mine to the point where i think it will be a tops-only summer.

now seeing your rendition of the string, i think i'm going to work on some of the other tops i have before i try this one - it looks like it was difficult. was it more difficult than the halter?

Nah...I thought the halter was harder. The ties are REALLY LONG though. Good luck on yours, can't wait to see it!

Your suits are turning out wonderful!

I love the boy shorts--the side ties are a nice custom touch!

I would like to comment on making suits out of cotton as well---I made a babydoll style suit out of cotton gingham--nice for sunning, but horrid for swimming! I cut off the babydoll part and it was better, but still, it was heavy and took forever to dry...but, the worse thing I ever used for a bathing suit was stretch terrycloth...again, not recommended--one dive and you have no suit!  Wink

i am going to make matching suits for myself and a friend - matching fabric matching cut - and her boyfriend wants me to make a speedo for him in matching material. friend and i hadn't picked out what fabric we liked but i'm pretty sure it will be a pink one now that her man is on board.

but the best part - there is this crazy site called 'stitchboy' with all kinds of speedo pattern on it! http://www.geocities.com/WestHollywood/Heights/3204/1home.html

i am hoping it will be done by our end-of-season work party (we work at a canoe/kayak outfit) so that there will be ample modelling opportunity.

The pink is much brighter irl, I LOVE it  Grin
