So for xmas i wanted to make my stepdad, who is an avid drummer, a shadow box. I was thinking having pictures of various blues artists and a set of beat-up looking drumsticks. I however have no clue how i would put the drumsticks in without them falling off or banging around. Undecided  Any suggestions?

maybe you could use some polymer clay to make drumstick holders? i use that stuff to make little stands for everything that doesn't want to stand on its own! if not that, then maybe alot of hot glue!

There are loads of glues that you could use to place the sticks on the photos, or wherever you wanted them... so are you wanting something more or different than that?

(If you are interested in using polymer clay, either to make stands or holders or for making small drums or drum-related items, there's a load of info on using polymer clay at my webiste --see link in sig.)

You could wire them to the back. Either by drilling tiny holes, or by covering a peice of card that fits the frame in fabric (velvet?) and wiring them to that. Good luck!
