you could paint it...or sew appliques onto it...you could cover it with a mesh fabric or change the lining in a completely fabulous way! You could cut the leather into strips and weave another fabric into it....just a few ideas...some more intense than others...but I think its possible to revamp a leather bag too...maybe...

EXACTLY! Don't be afraid, join in! There is also hotglue, changing straps, adding a beaded fringe.......Endles s possibilities. I am excited to see my bag revamped, but also very excited to see the completed swap gallery!

Has a gallery been set up yet? Maybe I'm jumping the gun, but I have my purse all ready!

Side note (to lurkers contemplating joining): The great thing about this swap is that the purse comes from the thrift store. I personally have no issues about sending off a bag I spent $1.50 on. I'm excited to see the possibilities, and unafraid of what happens to it!

I'm no tease! Here is my bag, in all it's floppiness-



I picked it because it fits my two requirements for a purse-

1. The handles fit over my shoulder (i have no time or energy to hold a little clutch in my hand)

2. It fits a book (i have no time or energy for purses that cannot fulfill this requirement!)

I like the colors, but its a little too bland for me...the perfect pick for this swap- it holds possibilities for painting, stenciling, or embroidery!
