This was my first adventure into double knitting. I watched the video on knittinghelp.com a couple of times and then I went for it. The trickiest part is castng on which is not on the video, and I actually made a smal boo boo and twisted my strands while doing it. But oh well, this is a gift for a guy friend and he wouldn't recognize that as a boo boo even if he saw it. Then I tried using the same jolly roger chart to make a hat, with  limited success. I was doing it round instead of flat so my tension on the white part is all wonky. If I were to do it again I would knit the hat flat.

Vampires may be very sexy. Distraction by a sexy vampire may interfere with proper use of Vampire Detector. Vampire Detector is not responsible for sexy vampires.

Did you double-knit the hat too?

I 'specially love the scarf!

Almost everything I make comes out of my crazy brain, to make the chart for this I used Excel. I just shrank the width of the cells and shaded them in using fill color to make the shape of the skull and cross bones. If you want to use the same chart to make a double knit scarf or a hat or whatever you want, you can find the chart on my blog.

It is not a very bloggy blog, I am not much for journaling as I go, but if you have any questions you can either leave a comment on my blog or PM me.

I tried that, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make the cell size smaller. I looked in the help but it was not helpful.  Huh

Mistakes or not, that scarf rules!  Jolly Rogers make everything better, especially when there are three of them!
