I stopped at the best garage sale ever this weekend........a former employee of Hancock's fabrics! I have fabric galore! Included was a bolt (yes a whole bolt) of this camo material for two bucks! I really need to jazz them up with something as I think they are begging to be something more than they are....any suggestions?

This one I posted before on another thread.....but here it is again.

What else am I going to do with it?

Nice! I think that cammo DEMANDS to be paired with hot pink. I'm thinking either a dress or a skirt, possibly with lace somewhere... Smiley

hahaha you basically just described something i made a few months ago:

I've found that camouflage is a really widespread loved fabric. I absolutely love making handbags out of it.
I would love to see a skirt made out of it!!

They came out really cool. Might work well with some midnight blue or royal blue. Make other things besides purses, maybe some loose pants ?

Good idea! Those Thai tie pant would be cool, or this skirt: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=57160.0

sherrylee69,

I love the pink idea by squirrelypoo earlier...but heres another option:
Try some badges.  Cub scout badges, (there's a sewing one or a hospital one) or maybe some band images.  Like a Misfits badge or logo, or the stones lips, some pins, or words.

Maybe add some CHAIN!   Make the handle like those 'back again' belts with lace or fabric woven through them.  Put some black (or again, the HOT hot pink) lace or tulle through a chunky silver chain, and trim the pocket and handle.
Or maybe couple of dog tags stitched on the the opening clasp.

OOH - how about a hot pink spraypaint stencil of your name across the side???
Just some alternatives.
(Wow do i wish I was at THAT garage sale!)
