I found some great inspiration at this web site for my daughter's apartment:
http://teenagedopeslave.com/galleryframes.html

I painted some records with the old tattoo flash and did a bread box too.It was metal, and I used kilz before I painted it with enamels. I don't have a digital camera or I would post them for you.But hopefully the above site will give you some inspiration!

Well....I can help you out on this one- decoupage is definitely the way to go. I used this book http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/3822819794/qid=1129648261/sr=8-2/ref=pd_bbs_2/002-1998287-5420867?v=glance&s=books&n=507846 to decoupage some cheapo Ikea planters:

Decoupage, again for a cheapo Ikea mirror:

Decoupage on a much bigger mirror that I found lying in an alley:

This site also has some tattoo-inspired bedding and pillowcases http://www.sininlinen.com/products/pillowcases.htm
You could probably make some of your own with the lusted after fabric from ReproDepot: http://reprodepot.com/taflbl.html (it comes in black and "tea" colored as well)

*Phew* Ok, i think i'm doing. sorry if i killed your computer with all the pics!

Thanks! Have you checked out the Craigslist boards for where you live? I bet you could find some cheap used furniture to go all tattoo-crazy on!

In case you haven't used Craigslist before, all the cities there are boards for are listed on the right hand side of the site. Its an INVALUABLE resource for used & free furniture: http://www.craigslist.org/

ack!  i always see those painted lampshade and want them so badly, but they're ridiculously overpriced.  i never thought to buy a blank one and paint it myself!  duh!
