I wanted to decoupage a table with magazine clippings i had, but I was just wondering... if I glue them on the table will the other side show through?  Huh Some of the pictures are very light and I'm afraid they will. I've seen lots of awesome magazine decoupage projects on here and no one has seemed to have a problem yet, so any feedback would be appreciated.  Grin

If the pages are kinda glossy, it should be okay.  If the pages are normal paper or even newsprint, yeah, it could show through.  Most magazine paper is slightly glossy/coated, though, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Plus, the good part about decoupage, if it does show through, either peel it off while the stuff is still wet, or add another piece over it to cover that up before you seal it.

And DONT FORGET TO SEAL IT.  If you don't, heat/pressure can cause the glue to warm up and basically it melts it, causing stuff to stick.

Hey

I think you might need to paint first (in white or something) the area underneth the pictures, so the table wont show... see discussion here, might help clear things up:
