Yesterday my stepmum gave me her old record player. I have always wanted one and I finally got one. Anyways. I bought/have lots of records (33's and 45's) and I want to construct something to hold them since they fall out of my notebook...

Any suggestions of something I could make it out of?

that's great that you got a record playeri keep trying to take my dad's but he won't let me!

i think the best thing would be one of those wood cubes that they sell at target or ikea, and you could paint/decoupage the heck out of it. i'd be wary of using anything flimsier than wood, because records can get heavy. also, i think it's best to keep them stacked upright instead of flat, because that can warp them.

I recommend the drawer from an old filing cabinet; wood and metal would be equally cool.  Only thing is, that'd be hard to mount on the wall, so it would have to sit on the floor.  You might want to set it on something to avoid dustiness (in my house, stuff on the floor gathers dust bunnies in a matter of seconds).
