I love it Emms.  It looks really good on you.  Maybe one day i will create a shrug, while it's still in style!  I had a looksie through your blog, and you had me cracking up.  Thanks for making me laugh on such a dreary day!

Necia

Thanks!!! I aim to make y'all hoot and holler. (Emms tips her chair back, relaxing.... ahhh, another satisfied customer...)  Smiley

Count me in too!! I've figured out how big to make it (I think!!) - just need to decide on a colour (thinking maybe turquoisy blue/green, or pink) and get going with my swatch. Fingers crossed!!  Wink

By the way, I will post all my stats:

I am 42" bust. Using aran weight yarn, and US 10 circular needles, I cast on 176 sts, worked in 2x2 rib for 7", decreased to 88 sts, switched to 1x1 rib for 22", increased to 176 sts, switched back to 2x2 rib for 7", and cast off. I seamed with mattress stitch.  Smiley

I am glad I held on through the boring middle part and did the whole 22" of 1x1 rib, because now its the perfect length, and I have actually worn it twice since!

Here is my shrug. I used yarn that i recycled from a thrift shop and I used eyelets instead of the mock ribbing. It fits pretty good but I think i should of blocked it.

Amazing!

I am really in love with this style!

Did you create the pattern yourself?

If you could post a link to the pattern, that'd be great.  I'd love to make one this weekend, currently I'm finishing up Glampyre's famous minisweater/Boobholder.

Can someone point me in the direction where I can learn how to do a "sl1yf"  Right now I'm working gauge swatch, and got stuck right there!  Lol.

Necia, all you do is this:

S1YF: Move yarn to front of needles as if to purl, then slip one stitch from left needle to right needle. Continue as pattern suggests.

Emms,

You're a sweetie!  Ya know I started doing just that on the bus yesterday.  I even LIKED the way it looked, but just KNEW I was doing it WRONG.  I promised myself I was going to wait patiently for a response, so I wouldn't have to do any ripping before I even got started.  HAHAHAHAHAHHA.

Thanks hon.
