Thank you! Would you say it's a good work out for your core? I started training on my bike again which works everything out but my stomach so I end up with a beer belly. I'm going to make one regardless though!

I would like to know, where did you find the gaffer tape in such a nice wide roll?
Also, when I make my hoops, I use a pot of boiling water to soften the ends of my pipe.

I also use the pot of boiling water to heat the tubing. I used the hair dryer for a while, but most of my family, (animals included,) didn't care for the noise. One other thing I do is cut the hoop into two equal pieces, then connect them using two couplings. That way, you can twist the hoop, making it collapsible.

The hoop in the pictures is only 1/2" tubing. I made a batch of smaller sized hoops for my daughter's upcoming Hawaiian themed birthday party. I usually use a 3" piece of Velcro wrapped around the hoop to hold it closed when it's collapsed.

Holy. Macarel.  I just bought the tubing and fittings for my first hoops at Home Depot.  They didn't know WTF gaffers tape was.  Just looked it up and it is just as expensive as the tubing.  Sad  Is there a good source for this stuff?

I get my gaff tape from a local theater supply shop.  Mussons in Santa Clara, if anybody is from the Silicon Valley.  The rest of my tapes I also get from identi-tape.com.
