First post, first bag - Updated! Little birdy pouch (on page 2)

Made these 2 bags in the meanwhile...The blue one is mostly from scrap fabric, colours are quite different from reality, the dark blue is actually lighter. The Rocky bag (named after the label on the pocket, that was from the original pants) is made from a pair of nylon multipocket pants and a stretchy cotton tank top; colours are different here too: orange is actually a salmon orange, and the nylon is a mix of dark green and gray (I think the second pic from the right offers the better approximation). Rocky bag has one pocket on the front, centered, and one on the back, on the left side; both pockets (zippered) are from the original pants...sewing this bag was a little pain, cause the fabric was never enough and I had to cut and re-cut small pieces to fit the size I wanted! But finally, I am pleased by the result, even if it don't came out nice in photos, it seems :) 
These are my second and fourth bags ever; the third one I gave to my aunt and don't have a pic, but I'm planning to do a similar one soon, because it has a rounded shape that I want to exercise on!

I did it last nigh and it was my very first try with
1. sewing a zip (withouth a zipper foot, ouch!)
2. using interfacing (thanks to my actual boyfriend's mom, who is a seamstress and gave me tons of adhesive interfacing for free, yay!)
3. cutting and sewing felt appliques (appliques in general, indeed)

I am pleased with the result, even if I don't know what my head was thinking about, telling me to use contrasting stitching for the zip and even for the bobin thread! (you can see yourself from the pic how this magnificate my perfectly straight seam But I keep learning from my errors more and more.

I could never ever do this without some of the tutorials posted here (sushimifune's, jordy's and other's that I can't find to remember now), so thanks girls!
