is anyone in the richmond area interested in a kniting/crafting/whatever group in carytown?  the coffee shop i work in (blue mountain, across from the mcdonalds in carytown) has a great back room that's almost always empty.  it would be the perfect place.  a kniting group would be a neat way to start, but other types of crafters would be great too.  i'd love to start doing craft fairs, but i'd need more people split a booth with. (i haven't exactly reached to mass production phase yet.)  also, feedback from other crafty people would be awesome.

Sarah Jeanne: I live in the fan area and a craft group would be awesome.

Suzy Downstairs: You should come to the VCU knitting club meetings. Mondays at 6:45 in the commons, Thursdays at 5 in the commons and Saturdays at 6:30 at Ethos cafe (17th street). PM me if you have more questions.

I talked to the manager and he's willing to stay open later on wednesdays if we actually buy coffee.  i was thinking maybe the 2nd and 4th wed.s of the month.  around 7pm maybe?  if anyone has any preferences let me know.

Hey Sarah.  I'd definately be interested.  Wednesdays are cool - but probably only 1 per month for me.

Also - the Richmond Craft Mafia is planning to have some "craft-ins" starting in the new year.  We were looking for a space to have these... maybe we can coordinate with you at Blue Mountain.

Keep me posted!
