I used marshamallow peeps to make this hat.  They have withstood the test of time (I got the peeps for Easter).

That's totally great. I love Peeps and have often thought of crafting with them (if there are any left after I'm done scarfing them all down, of course) so I'm glad to see this report about how yours are holding up.

Did you do anything to preserve them in any way (like spray them with acrylic)? I guess they probably have enough preservatives to last and last all on their own.

No preservatives, I let them "age" naturally, then sent them through the mail, sewn onto the hat.   Apparently they are rock solid now.
