Swap name: Singapore Swap
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: Remisica
Sign-up date range: Oct 13 to Oct 20
Date to send item by: Nov 3

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): Nope.

Non-U.S. participants allowed? It's for Singaporeans. Although if any from SEA wants to participate, i'd definitely accomodate you. So sorry to alienate the world!
All ages allowed? Or 18+? All ages. I havent seen any trouble with age.
Organizer is aware of current list of "suspended traders"
list and will not allow those members to participate: Yes.

Organizer meets the 4 conditions for swapping and will make sure that every participant meets these conditions: Yes.

Details of swap:
I love swapping with people from across the world, the different cultures, products, cheaper crafty tools  Cheesy. But shipping to the rest of the world can get expensive, hence the idea for this swap. This is open to those in singapore, but if anyone from south east asia would like to join, i'd accomodate you, don't worry. And yeah, i'd say the idea was partly stolen from the aussie swap. Grin

The idea is to send a surprise to your swap partner. It can be a pouches, jewellery, applique, badges, stuffed toys, knitted or crocheted, stenciled or painted. One small (in terms of work/time) thing. To avoid disappointment, you should limit yourself to 2 to 4 hours of crafting as agreed. Of course, it's alright if you love your partner enough to be generous.  Cheesy

Communicate with your partner if are overdoing  (Roll Eyes), so she/he'd be forewarned of your evil one-up-man-ship.

sorry felly, i hope u didnt think i stole your thunder. Sad

you send whatever you make in the 2 to 4 hours time, as long as it's to your partner's taste. it can be one item, or a few, the time i gave is just to help, as guidelines.

it seems that some would rather keep the arab st outing and the shipping out separate, so that people won't feel forced to turn up for the outing. this is a good point, so i say we have a vote.

i suggested meeting up in to exchange in the first place so that shipping costs, which was a concern at first, would be just the dollar or so of bus or mrt fare. plus the fun of meeting your swap partner. i totally understand if u ladies want to do it the traditional way, by mailing out. like i said, just a suggestion!

so... shall we meet up and exchange crafts, or shall it be a separate thing? if we mail out, we should keep to the original mail out date of nov 3rd. if we were to meet up, it'll be as previously agreed upon, nov 12th.

again, i'm always open to suggestions for making this swap better for you!

I vote for a meet up + exchange + arab st outing together.  But again I will go along with majority.

Let me know.... Wink

My vote is totally the same as LiN but an info: the Arab street bead shops closes at 6pm everyday.

Cheers!

I say that we keep the swap and the meetup separate. That way, we can include other crafter friends who may not have participated in the swap, and we don't have to put undue pressure on those who might not be able to come along on the day itself.
