My mother really made fun of me when I showed it to her. She said she had crocheted toilet paper covers that were poodles. Smiley

For those of you checking out the book there are a few other neat things in there, I like the ribbon ballet slippers but I guess they are kind of silly. The wire knit baskets are cool but I haven't tried them yet.

Wow. I crocheted one of these without a pattern a few years ago after I saw one in my grandparents' house.    It's odd to think that I'm not the only one who would want to make one.

OMG.  I haven't seen that since my great aunt's house and the TP roll cover she had!  I love it.  Way more cool... wait. I always thought those thing were cool.  Pretty sure it was some of my inspiration for learning to do this stuff.

It so cute!  Somebody bought me that book for christmas and that's really the only pattern I like.   I've been trying to figure out how to make it look like other dog breeds as well.

I just threw out a 1960s or 1970s brown crocheted version of this poodle bottle cover a month ago (it was from my mom's past... very old and falling apart)... after I ripped it's glass button eyes off and put them in my button box...
