Heya Craftsters,

So sorry for the major outage today!!!

The dedicated server that hosts Craftster kept crashing so I contacted my web hosting company and they figured out that there was a "bad heatsink fan" in  the server and had to perform open heart surgery ... er... swap the hard drives into a new server (open brain surgery??)

Ack! And on top of that some data got majorly corrupted due to the crashing!  Undecided

So (four hours later...) I think I've repaired everything but if anyone notices anything strange, please PM me.

Thanks!

Leah

Gee, all I did was go the the grocery store, and everything falls apart.  Sorry I didn't know anything happened.  But I'm glad it's all fixed.  The store is 30 miles away.

Scary!  While Craftster was down I was actually forced to craft (when I wasn't frantically pushing the refresh button), rather than just thinking about crafting... good thing I can get back to the norm now!

Glad to know I'm not the only one! haha

Someone posted that they thought Craftster was down for good -  I have to confess, I thought it was too! I'm still a newbie here, but boy did my eyes go wide and I pouted until I finally ended up MAKING something during the wait.  Thank you Leah for feeding the obsession!  Wink

Like so many others who posted, I had to find something else to do when Craftster was down ... I am quite sure that my boss is wondering why I was so productive today!

Our server had a similar problem last month and as a result, our web site was down for 24 hours (eeek!). Due to the number of daily visits we get versus the number you must get, we can only imagine the utter panic you must have felt while it was down!

Glad to have you back! We are all the stronger people for having "toughed" this one out  Grin

It's times like this that make you realise just how much you love, rely on and need Craftster in your life. You know, that moment when you really realise you never want to be apart so decide to propose... uh... yeah.... Wink

ROFLMAO . . . sometimes things people say can just spark a hearty laugh - this has done it. I'm tearing up just imagining (and laughing at it all) the whole shin-dig.   Sort of lost the topic, but I had to comment.
