you totally rock, I love that fabric! your kitties seem enamored with it as well

its actually quite strange. they are obsessed with it. its insane. they won't get off it. i suppose that means i did a good job- according to a cat Wink

What did the the seat of the chair look like?  Did it have a solid base after stripping it down?

nope. its 3 or 4 horizontal zigzag springs. the chair is still a little squishy when you sit, but not uncomfortably. plus its probably just my big butt Wink

you did a fabulous job! i have one question...how easy/difficult was is to remove the original upholstery. did you have to rip it all apart. did you use any special tools to get the tacks (or whatever the orginial hardware was to secure the vinyl) out? i would like to do a chair like this and want to know if i'm getting a bit ambitious...
