I really like the motif on the front. I skimmed over the pattern and already there are some things that I'm not familiar with. This is going to be my first crocheted piece of clothing. I already know I dont like the neckline and just want to do a scoop neck instead of the buttons.  The pattern begins with the back of the sweater and that part seems pretty easy to follow.

I wear a small in most clothing, so I'm going to try it out with a "G" hook instead of the H or I that the pattern calls for to make a medium and a large.

I hate the color of this sweater. I think I might go pick up a cheap sage colored yarn from walmart. For my first project, I'm not shelling out the big bucks on fancy yarn.

Anyone want to join me??  I think its a pretty cute sweater!

I really like that motif, too. I probably will do it, but I can't until Christmas, when I am back in a place with an actual yarn store. It'd be great to see yours when you're finished, though.
