I made the hat and booties for a couple who weren't finding out what they were having. I made it in blue thinking if it was a girl I'd pop a big, floppy flower on the hat. But he turned out to be a boy, and it seemed so plain without any decoration. So I sewed on some little white buttons for cuteness.

Very cute - I like the buttons.  What kind of yarn is this?

Also - did you knit the blanket they're laying on?

Thanks!  Grin

That's just run of the mill cheap acrylic from one of those huge value skeins.

I didn't make the blanket -- my husband's mama crocheted it but it's my favorite blanket, it's so cozy!
