This is really a great piece.  I love the composition and I believe you reached your carnival goal.  I love the use of the bright green.  You also didn't center every character in the green, which I think most people would be partial to do, especially with a collage.  It's very intriguing.  It looks like it's on canvas board, am I right?  It would be interesting to see it with a two inch deep frame around it, so it's pushed out from the wall.  Maybe something gilded and painted like an old calliope from the circus.  Does this make sense?  It would mimic how it would look had it been created on a thick canvas.

Oh, and since you centered Martha, is she the ringmaster?

Here's some pics of a calliope and other circus memorabilia:  http://www.travel.tennisonfamily.com/florida/circus_museum/circus_museum.html

girlypirate: I am really into minimalism, I would love to go to Japan because their thoughts on what is balance and visually appealing design is alot like what I try to bring to my projects. I can see it alot on this website.

teenage_moth: Thanks!  Your wildest dreams will come true if you vote for Brickabrack!

Irid3sc3nt: Yes, I didn't center every character in the green because I wanted an interplay of balance between the characters(like stills of Brady Bunch theme). Martha is in the middle because she IS the ringleader of course, and P.M.S. stands for Poor Martha Stewart. Whatever you what to make of it is your chioce. I don't really get what you're saying about having the piece pushed out from the wall. I can definitley see this as a textile for a shower curtain or a funky coaster set. Thanks for the circus swag link - very neat. I love the old posters especially!! Movies like David Lynch's Elephant Man that old Freaks movie are a definite inspiration too.

thanks again - Mrs. Brickabrack
