finally, hat weather

i was in the need of a little instant gratification knitting, and i had this beautiful wool in the woods (llama/wool) kicking around, so the cross hat-ch was the perfect solution. that, and it is just now cool enough in toronto to justify knitted things, yay!

the stitch pattern is the same as in 'my so called scarf' http://www.sheepinthecity.prettyposies.com/archives/000079.html though, so i knit mine flat and then seamed up the back.

Dude, I hear you. I've knit a hat, one of two Hurry Up Spring Armwarmers, and am now knitting a scarf. Wool and alpaca are my current Fibres Of Choice.

Thanks Karenie! I thought I'd seen that stitch before, but couldn't figure out where. That scarf is in my (overly long) to knit list. I love it and I will make that hat to!

Yay for hat weatehr!And your hat is lovely.  For some reason, the non hat wearers in TO always look at me funny when I bust out the collection

i love hats! i can't imagine three seasons of the year with no hats :-) crazy non-hat-wearers. they are also my favourite things to knit, along with mittens, because they are so gratifying.
i guess it's not technically that cold yet, but i'm willing to be a bit premature for the sake of my woollens!

I too love knitting hats. I saw this pattern but didint print it when it was available DOH!!!! so i suck. I think it is a great pattern to show off a beautiful or interresting yarn you go girl

oo ive been doing the same thing, popping out hats just cause i gotta bind something off. ive been buying up plenty of rown spray and big wool.
