i had a digital camera passed down from a friend: Kodak Easy Share DX3700 and the conclusion was that it died
it did the job but after a while, it would drain batteries like no other!! finally it would only last enough for 4 pictures which was NOT cool!
my latest impulse buy: Canon CoolPix A520 and it's fantastic at $180 on sale!! very clear pictures. you have to play with all of the features to get the best pics but it's easy.  it's small but not too small. i have a friend who is an electronics nerd and he said that it's a pretty good camera so i think that for the price range, it's tops!
my friend has a very cool Sony with a huge screen but i think it was $400+ which was totally out of my league.
i'm not a fan of tiny cameras only because i feel like there going to slip out of my hand!
