I got this lovely, soft square piece of leather from a friend and took it home to sit and look at... Was trying to imagine what would be the best way of using this gorgeous thing! (I get really 'precious' with materials if I really like them and end up never using them because I'm worried that if I cut it, make something and I don't like it, it's ruined and I get upset.... Please tell me I'm not the only one... Cheesy)

Being into the cuff-thing at the moment I thought that would be quite nice and I'd get to make about 5-6 out of the little piece I had so I was happy! Decided I wanted a flower on it, so I looked through one of my Elle Decorations (I subscribe - wonderful mag for inspiration!) and lo and behold, there was this beautiful lily. Then I found some matching beads, wire and the snap and I was away!

It's quite self-explanatory and I'm awful at tutorials, but I am making a few more so if anyone wants a step-by-step, let me know and I'll try to take some pictures of the actual making-it-bit.

Thanks people! (...and thanks firehead, that makes me feel a bit better about my hording disorder... Grin)

Kayceeann, there's no sewing involved!! Apart from actually securing the beads in the middle with a few hand stitches! Just cut out shapes, hammer the snap on, put beads on wire and glue flower on to strap.  well, generally speaking... but honestly, it's easier than it looks.  Wink

I too get like that with materials. Even, sadly to say things like bubble bath and candles! I just figure it smells so good! And if I use it, then it will be gone, and I can't smell it anymore

But anyway, that is a really great job!!!!!  Very nice flower!  I really like the beadwork!
