So I just finished Headline News from S&BN.  The beginning directions for the brim are confusing me though.

Quote
Pickup 7 sts before and 7 sts after hat C0

Ok so is there going to be a big gap bet the 7 before and after? I searched for it but didn't find anything on the brim. Can someone please help?

Hey,
I made this brim to put on a dread tam that I made, it is a bit confusing, but all you do is pick up 14 sts in a row (all next to each other) off the co edge.  The directions are telling you where to place your brim, you start picking up sts 7 sts before your first (slipknot) stitch, the one with your yarn tail hanging off it and you keep picking up sts until you have 14, or 7 sts after that first co st.
Hope that helps!
