Craftin' for Clinton: Project ideas to get people to vote

With Hillary's announcement this morning I was thinking about a Craftin' for Clinton campaign, but I'm having a hard time coming up with ideas for projects - ultimately I want people to start thinking about voting in 2008 now - let's pull focus off the messiness of 2006/2007, shall we.

I worked on the campaign for Mike Arcuri last year and since he's now our Congressman (YYIIPPPEEEEE!!!) I'm set to work on his re-election next year.  But one of the campaign pieces we had that went over very well among voters was trading cards.  They were professionally made and printed, but I did an ATC to go with them.

Now, I was thinking of starting to work on ATCs so we'd have a stockpile for when things do start up.

Although I'm not liberal myself, i like the idea of a crafting campaign for a candidate. It'll be so nice to see something other than bumper stickers out there. I'd recommend a campaign focusing on Hillary's stance of socialized health care and education, after all, crafting is about making life more beautiful, and Hillary's views certainly mirror that  sentiment. Maybe you could make shirts, totes, notebooks, et cetera, that say in English, "If you can read this, thank a public school". Then, underneath, in french, "If you want to read this, vote Hillary." It's a conversation piece and would certainly be a good way to establish her positive role on education.

I'm appliqueing felt cutouts to say
"Just Vote." on my favorite black tshirt. Other Moms can't judge my liberal ways at the kids school yet I still feel like I'm saying...something!

This thread is an oldie but a goodie!   Just VOTE is an excellent way to approach the election.
