I admit it, this isn't an original idea--I was inspired by katiekat82's own project (rather more professional-looking, I must say).  Take a look at it here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=52712.0

So here's my version.  I printed off some Gil Elvgren pics from the internet and used Mod Podge to decoupage them onto a metal lunch box I bought at Michael's.  A little ribbon bow and it made a nice package for my friend's birthday present.  Let me know what you think!

that rocks. i've seen those white lunch boxes screaming out for something on the shelves of michaels and always wondered what could be done. very nicely done.

Just sand the metal down some so that it will stick better.

What a fab lunchbox, I am such a fan of the pin-up art!  Cheesy I LOVE the middle pic on the back - makes me wonder why I dont feed more parrots in my sexy underwear...   Grin lol
