i absolutely love this purse! I'm working on it right now. If it turns out decent I will post some pics! Awesome pattern, jennye!

so, I see what you mean about the lining. I've finished the actual crochet part, but the lining is super tricky. (Not to mention I'm not a total sewer and don't understand the whole interfacing-thing.)

I'm currently lusting over bird's nest necklaces and jewelry in general. Personal swap partners sought! :-)

In all honesty, my mom did most of the sewing for the lning.  I'm not good at sewing  Sad  Basically, you make two complete linings (bottom and sides), turn one inside out and drop it inside the other, so from both the outside and inside of the bag you see the fabric, not the interfacing.  Then, you sew them together to the bag (through all 3 layers - 2 linings and the bag).  It helps if you pin the bag and linings really well, because the crochet stretches like crazy when you sew it.  At least it did for me, and as I was just about ready to throw the sewing machine out the window, my mom stepped in and sewed it for me.  Cause she's my mom  Smiley

My best advice: find someone who knows what they're doing and have her/him help you.

Edited to add: I know that the above is crappy advice, if you don't have someone around to help you.  I'm fortunate enough that my mom sews and was willing to help me.  If you're a novice sewer, finding someone to help you is the best advice I can give.

Finished! I can't find the USB cord for my digital camera around my apartment so I'm just going to buy another one (we just moved and I can't deal with going through all the boxes, lol) I really like the way mine turned out, I made some minor modifications (not on purpose, just because I ran out of one color of yarn and ribbon, but you'll see.) Your pattern was super easy to follow, jennye!
