Ok, I found these in a thrift store, and although I am a bit horrified by fur, I couldn't pass them by (please no fur backlash, I feel bad enough). They are white fur hotpants, with satin lining, and on the front is a leather panel with an old-fashioned luggage style lock, and inside is a pouch with a little key! They are vintage, I'm guessing 60's or 70's. They are fantastic, but waaayyy too small for me (and all but 1 of my friends). I've always thought I could do something fun with them, but I don't know what, exactly. Anyone have any brilliant ideas?? I'll try to post a picture when I get home!

Uh, these scare me.  What would you keep in your hotpants that need a lock?

Sounds like the weirdest potential handbag in history.  sew the bottoms shut, add a funky strap and a buckle, zipper or large button to the top, and voila!  People are constantly asking you WHERE did you get that crazy bag?

I LIKE the handbag idea! I could get a 60's white belt from a thrift store for the strap! Hmmm...(the gerbils are running a little faster on the wheel  Smiley  )

I am bumping this, cause I just found these in my stash and I still haven't done anything with them. Maybe some newer folks have ideas? I am going to try to get a pic soon, they really must be seen to be believed!  Shocked

Do you have a pic of what they look like Batgirl?  A visual might spur on some more ideas!

Other than the handbag, my thought was a pillow-- I don't know if that would work or not.  I'm dying to see these things though!

I will try to take one as soon as my technology issues are resolved! They are pretty hilarious. Picture white fur (rabbit fur I suppose) shorty-short-shorts (hotpants) hipster style, with a cracking white leather placket on the front with 2 sliding vintage-luggage style buckles (like on old "train cases") and a white leather hip/waist band. Then lined in white satin, with a small leather pouch inside containing the luggage-lock key! Bizarre!! I'm still toying with the handbag idea, but I kind want to do something that shows off their true nature...white, fur, locking hotpants!  Grin Shocked If I was small enough I'd wear them for Halloween...every year!  Cheesy

Ha!  That would be great!  I just got a very Austin Powers-like visual-- add a giant afro and it would be complete!  Grin
