im not sure if theres a topic about this already... if there is could you kindly point me to it?

any way... i wanted to know if there was any places to sell goods with out having a credit card... i know on ebay you cant sell anything if you dont have a credit card.

im sure i could use my dads if i HAD to have one... but i was hoping someone would know of one before i went down that road...

next thought...
if there is no such site... whats a good site to go with (ive seen a post or two on this, but im asking anyway)

i don't know of any that don't require credit cards. its kind of a must because nearly every place charges you to sell, so thats how they take their payments.

so, if you'd like to give it a try and borrow a paren't card.. try etsy.

Its free to set up your own shop (everything must be handmade) and they're not charging any fees at the moment. I think its free to buy and sell until Nov. 1st.

The reason they ask for a credit card is to verify you are who you say you are. Buyers will typically not buy from unknown people and so if you can get a hold of a credit card and if you list your stuff at a place like EBAY, ETSY, blujay, or ecrater ... you will have a better chance of selling than if you actually did find a site that didn't require a credit card. You will also need a credit card to open a PAY PAL account as well. Hope this makes sense?

Re: the credit card ..... perhaps your Dad could look into getting you a separate card ... with a low low limit. If you explain what it's for (just to get your stuff onto a website) and tell him that you won't be buying anything with it, perhaps you will stand a chance Smiley

Good luck to you!

I just got a paypal account and I don't have a credit card. They just asked me for my banking details and when I buy something it comes straight out of my bank account. I don't know of anywhere to sell your stuff that accepts paypal but I have bought things on etsy and ebay using it.

If you have a chekcing account you can just get a check card/debit card. Works just like a credit card, but it's coming straight out of your bank account. I use mine all the time Smiley

Last May someone was selling things on Ebay with my name and credit card...it happened after I bought something off Ebay so be careful with Ebay. The police still haven't caught them and Ebay didn't retain the info on them very well. So my advice is to check your credit card statement very very carefully every month when you get it to make sure that only things you have used it for are there.

Look into MyMCCard.com ... you can get a prepaid mastercard that you buy refils for at CVS, Riteaid, and a bunch of other places. It does have a monthly cost of 4.95.. but I use it for everything that I do online (ebay, bill paying, shopping, etc etc...) so should my CC info get stolen, the worst that they can do is take the money that's loaded onto there, as it's not connected to my bank account in anyways. You may want to look into that...
