What you'll need:

  •      16 inches of ribbon
  •      5 inches of 1/4" woven elastic
  •      scissors
  •      two size 20 bedazzler studs
  •      liquid no-fray solution

Cut 16" of ribbon. Apply a little no-fray solution to the ends of the ribbon. Then cut 5" of elastic and apply no-fray to the ends of that. Then attach the elastic to the headband by pushing the bedazzler stud through both the ribbon and the elastic. I recommend doing this by hand not using the bedazzler machine. Doing it by hand ensures that the prongs fold over in the right direction. I wear a thimble to fold the prongs in and then push them even tighter with jewelry pliers.

The headbands are so cute, especially the flame one!  Where did you find the ribbon for it?

I heard you can burn the ends of ribbon to stop fraying... It works very well on dog collars. I know. I have 6 dogs + cat

This probably depends on whether the ribbon has any "plastic" in it. In which case it would melt into a non-fraying consistency. I bet the pet collars are nylon.

Thank you so much for posting this. I had a piece of ribbon that was exactly 16" long and I didn't think I'd ever figure out something useful to do with it. Cheesy
