Layers...do you remember those all-one-size clothes, with the tubes? I think they were called "Units" or something?? Oh my! Talk about fits all, flatters none! And the sticking-straight-up bangs with flat hair in back (did we not own hand mirrors in the 80's??). Also, short hugely puffy skirts, And...the balloon skirt dress. Watch any Brat Pack movie for inspiration! Spray on hair color was also popular for those afraid to play with manic panic! And there was always the shower-clock-as-necklace trend, LOL

I remember everyone wearing white stiletto shoes. 

Oh god, (memory flash) stirrup pants with stiletto heals and no socks or hosiery. I never wore it but I remember my neighbour thought it was really cool.

Big hair, really big hair.  with really fooffy bangs that looks like someone was trying to make your hair look like a crysathemum
