Meet my entry for the El Cheapo challenge.  Ms. "Free"da Cheapetta.

I have been wanting to make a paper mache mask like the ones on the paper mache website found here:   http://www.papiermache.co.uk/exec/cms-documents/s-tutorials/p-view/id-5/.

I made her from a milk jug that I papermached a little newspaper to.  Then I cut out all the "Free" words from the ads in the Sunday paper and the mail for the week and decoupaged them to Freeda's face.  Next I went on a scavenger hunt around the house for discarded items and kid debris.  I hit the jackpot in the "lost" box I keep by the dryer.  A broken pokeball key chain made a lovely earring and the nose ring was from some article of clothing.   Her shades were castoffs from the Garfield movie.  My daughter's Hawaiian bracelet from Jimmy Buffet day is her new headband.  Her hair is an assortment of twist ties and pop can thingies.  Her "mouth" is a lost water bomb threaded through a bread bag doo dad.  I needed to make her a little wider so I added the pop lid/straw "ears".

Hope you like her!  My family is now seriously concerned that I have lost it.  Oh well, at least I have Freeda to talk to!

I must say I am at a loss for words. It looks like making Freeda was lots of fun.

BUT, please alert the authorities should Freeda start talking back to you.*

*note to other craftsters: I am not trying to be mean to gingerquilts. I have known her for many years, and just want to make sure she gets help if so needed.
