That is so beautiful, can I ask you, as i am about your size bosom-wise I think, not that I have seen you but judging from yr previous post, and am using that same wool, diff. colour, how many skeins it took and what needles you used? Thanks so much

Wow! yours looks really cute. I tried making this one in some double-stranded dark green recycled wool, but I decided not to finish the second arm after I decided it makes me look like a big green blob. *sigh*... oh well.

Hi Limeylizzie! It took 7 1/2 skeins of Handpainted yarn in Verde Esperanza. I used size 10mm and 8mm needles (because I had lent out my 9mm) and I made the size M because my tension was off, so instead of trying to get the "right" gauge, I just did a little math and  realized that I could make the M to fit me with the gauge I got.

I still have to buy buttons. Does anyone have advice/caution about types of buttons? I know what size to get and everything.

It smelled so bad when I was washing it. Like rotten eggs or something. I think it was the vinegar?? I used these methods to wash it.
The yarn is alot lighter than the yarn pic on the site. I will have to take that into consideration next time I order. Oh and I kept finding grass, burrs and bits of wood in my yarn. Did anyone else have this prob??

I have some gorgeous buttons from the 50s that I found at NYC flea market, I bought about 200 of 'em and will never use them all, so if you want 11 of these lucite/sparkly pretties, I will send you some. I have pink, greyish/brown, blue, sparkly turquoise., white and lavender. All sizes , all with little chips of quartzy looking sparkles in them.

Wow Limeylizzie, that's very generous of you! Are they the right size for this (1.5" dia.)? I would love to see a pic of them - and I actually need 12... is that ok? I have just dug through the insane button collection and I have 12 @ 1 1/2  inch diameter but in mixed colours, I do have 12 in the turquoise in a 1" diameter. I will try and get pics to you later today.
