I'm trying to remember what I did, but for the life of me I can't.  I think I just ignored the fact that there was no 7 and 8, and went straight into 9.  Mine turned out fine, so I'm sure yours will, too!

Debbies only get respect in the knitting world.  How unfair is that?

Because Poe wrote on both of them.

Anyone up for a Jasper Fforde swap?

What make me sad is that they didn't write up a pattern for the lamp shade that the bow is attached to.  I really want to make it.  I guess I'm just going to have to fake it out.

I totally agree.
This book is definitely one of my favourites.

One of my friends is getting married at a rod and gun club - it was almost as if he dared me to make something... being that he's also a monty python fan - he received the holy hand grenade of antioch for a wedding present - complete with the reading from the holy book of armaments.
I already gave it to him and have had trouble posting pictures - but I made the hand grenade itself out of a brassy looking yarn I had picked up in a clearance bin. I printed the reading onto card stock in Old English and sewed it together as a small pamphlet. Then I took an empty coffee can, made a label out of card stock to cover the outside with Holy hand grenade of antioch in old english, and covered it with contact paper. Needless to say, the present was a hit!
Most of the people weren't as taken with it, but come on...

Power is strength and the ability to see yourself through your own eyes and not through the eyes of another. It is being able to place a circle of power at your own feet and not take power from someone else's circle.

Ever since I got that book for my birthday, my husband has been wanting a knitted hand grenade.  Yours looks great.  I may just have to go knit the hubby one now!
