I've become friends with the owner of a local art gallery/kitschy toy store.  (Okay, I'm an art pimp.)  He's planning two upcoming art shows for the fall season---a Halloween show and a show featuring designer toilet seats.  I'm going to approach him about possibly catering the shows for him.  The refreshments for his last show were feet beer, Two Buck Chuck, and Cheezits.  I can't help but think I could do better than that.

The Halloween show will be easy, it will practically cater itself.  But the toilet seat show?  I've come up with some deliciously evil ideas, but I don't think they'd be practical to pull off.  Serve lemonade and blue hawaiians (a la http://cocktailsbyjenn.com), nut logs and Little Debbies snack cakes decorated to look like urinal cakes.  But I'd love some really great and hideously cheap ideas.  One idea I had was Corn Nuts served in cups made from toilet paper rolls.   These aren't wine and cheese suggestions because this isn't a wine and cheese kinda gallery.

Okay, Craftsters.  Slay me with your great ideas.

This is hilarious because the gallery owner used to teach English in Taiwan.  The halloween show was last night, and he's very excited about the Throne show.  He's definitely on board with the toilet fondue fountain, and for the auction a few weeks later, we're serving a special cocktail the LuLu Doodoo.  (The gallery is called Lulubell's.)  Vanilla vodka and blue sweet & sour with a tootsie roll floating in it.  A most un-tidy bowl!
