I work for a rape crisis center and we are planning a "Freaky Fundraiser" which will take place on a cruise boat that will be docked downtown....it is designed to be a personal safety education/awareness event for kids but there will also be stuff for adults to do as well, games, costume contest. I am in charge of decorations and we have tried to get donations and for people from stage design/art centers to help us with no luck....we always have trouble getting donations and help from the community. So, I am wondering if anyone has any crafty ideas on decorations that are CHEAP (read: hopefully free) that might work for the boat...we were thinking haystacks....and creepy haunted looking stuff. Any ideas?

dollar store usually has stuff.... I don't know where you live but look up local service clubs like Kiwanis and rotary and ask them for help. Even high school service clubs Like KEY Club and Interact are always looking for service projects!
