That is a great hat! - Does the lining make it very bulky?

I lined mine with an old tee shirt and it added practically no bulk.

The kitty hat with the paw print ear flaps looks like the Cat Scratch hat off of Gaia Online...super cute. Smiley

Hi, I just wanted to say that I made my own, mostly following your instructions. It's so lovely and warm!

I've also blogged this link by the way!

I LOVE THOSE HATS!!!

But, I couldn't really follow the Tute, but that's mostly my fault since I'm VERY bad at Directions.
So, if anyone would be so kind to make it more simple, I'll love you forever!

Someone requested an easier version of MysticCookie's tute, I took pix of my process, but never finished putting together a photo tute, and don't remember how I was going to explain it, here are my photos anyway. I hope this helps. I made my hat mostly by hand with little machine use about two years ago. Good luck!

1. Make pattern, and cut out pattern pieces.

2. Take largest pattern piece and sew up the V.

3. Sew up ears.

4. Sandwich ears outward facing between front of hat piece and back pieces of hat.

5. Sew.

6. Sew band on next.

7. Done.
