Great idea...count me in.  Piglet ("a very small animal") would be proud.

Yes, he would.  This would be a very Piglet-type of swap  Grin

Well, would, say, a long, very skinny scarf count?  Or, ,say, a tiny clutch?  A mini notebook?

I find myself leaning toward encouraging miniature items.  I like your mini notebook suggestions, and I think a coin purse would work, but I'm not sure about scarf.  (Admittedly, this is just my very quirky way of judging what is "tiny!"  I wouldn't be a swap nazi and try to force people into making something other than a miniature item.)

HEre are examples I brainstormed:

A coin purse is tiny; a clutch purse is not.  A pair of earrings is tiny; a necklace, earrings, and bracelet set is not.  A trinket box is tiny; a pencil box is not.  An ATC (artist trading card) is tiny; a full-size drawing is not.  A pair of small barrettes is tiny; one large barrette is tiny; a selection of barrettes is not.

How do people like this idea so far?  If you check out hte Unconditional Swapper gallery, you can find the embellished coin purse that somebody made - it's a regular coin purse from a pre-printed fabric, but she embroidered and added beading, and it really "wowed" everyone.  That's the kind of tiny/elaborate/well-done that I have in mind.

Just got off a long phone call with my best friend, who announced her surprise engagement, so my head is still reeling - not sure if I'm making sense!!   Shocked

You've made your case, Writer78.  I'm definitely interested in participating in this swap if it happens Smiley

I like this idea, I know how you feel with the whole to-do list thing.

Kiss  Thanks, babe - I think I need to go to bed and let this best-friend-sudden-engagement thing sink in!!  I'll be thinking straight in the morning (let's hope!), and then I'll likely get this swap off the ground.

I wish there were a button to press so this would show up in my little list when updated. I don't think I can do the swap, as I could never make it to a post office so I am limited to envelopes. Wah. But it's a great idea.

I would love to be in this swap, you should totally start it!  As soon as I finish my first swap I would volunteer to organize it if no one else wants to.

Since you've made a post on this topic, wouldn't that automatically appear when you click on the "Show new replies to your posts" link?  You should still consider participating.  Heck, if the criteria is for "one tiny thing", you could make something that fits in an envelope, no?  I can tell this will be a fun one  Wink  Note:  I am in no way affiliated with the potential swap organizer of this swap.  I'm just psyched that this swap might happen  Grin

Yep. That's why I commented, with absolutely nothing constructive to say. ^_^

I don't know. What's the procedure? How heavy can something in an envelope be? Will they weigh it and be like "NUH UH I DON'T THINK SO MISSY, NICE TRY"?
