This could be fun and not horribly time consuming.

Here's the sign-up:

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=56639.0

I've limited to 12 people.  If you miss out on this round, please don't be offended; I expect that this one is simple enough that it could spawn a round 2.  If you qualify for organizer status, please feel free to "steal" the idea, as it should be a pretty uncomplicated one to run for a first-time organizer.

Don't forget the official swap rules:

To participate in this swap, you must meet these qualifications:

- Been a member for at least 1 month
- Posted at least 15 times
- If your first swap is currently marked "In Progress," you are not able to participate - you must complete your first swap and gain "Positive" before you can sign up for more swaps (but once you have your first "positive," there is no limit to the # of swaps you can be in at one time)
- Mustn't have any negatives in your feedback

Yep. That's why I commented, with absolutely nothing constructive to say. ^_^

I don't know. What's the procedure? How heavy can something in an envelope be? Will they weigh it and be like "NUH UH I DON'T THINK SO MISSY, NICE TRY"?

I might be wrong, but if you choose not to comment by post, you could also hit the "Notify" button at the bottom page of the topic.  That way, you can still keep track of what's going on Smiley

With regards to the envelope issue, I'm notorious for cramming envelopes!  I believe the guidelines state that first-class mail can weigh up to 13 oz (http://www.usps.com/all/shippingandmailing/letterscards.htm).  I usually tack on extra stamps when I don't know the actual weight of the contents and I write "Thank you Mr. Postman!" on my envelopes if in doubt Wink

I actually laughed aloud when I read this. That's splendidly funny. And I never noticed a "notify" button! How useful.

Okay, if I do this one, it'll be my first swap. How soon can I get feedback on my profile thing (or... 'tever)? I also want to do the (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=53188.0) <-- letter swap.

Should I just choose between the two or could I manage to finish this one in time to do the other? (It's supposed to start "mid-October", it said.)

Sammie, you're better off choosing one of the other, I think.  I only give positive feedback once the sent item has been received by your partner.  So to get feedback from me, you'll need to complete your detailed tiny craft, send it, and give it a few days to arrive (more time, if sending out of country).  Since we're just sending one thing in this swap, I wouldn't want to see anyone feel rushed to finish.  Assuming everyone is on time with sending, this one will be done and feedback given by the end of October.

You might want to PM the other organizer and see if she's firm on a start date; sometimes starts are delayed or can be extended to accomodate new swappers.

good luck!
