ok so its not finished, i decided to re-do the braids bigger. but i still wanted to post the pictures. its for my 2 year old (the same one that wont wear the sweater i knit last week) im going to look for a crown to add to it too since she understands princesses but not leia .  i also got her a long white dress from dharma trading co, and i ned to make up a little belt. thanks for looking!

This is insanely awesome! Do you have a pattern you can share?

On second thought, is it just a cap with braids sewn on the sides? I'm adding this to my knit list....

oh my god. I need one. This is not even a case of "wow that's cute I want to make it." this is a definite need to wear one this winter. That is so incredibly cool.

I have to admit I'm pretty jealous.
I wish my mom was making me a princess Leia hat.
Are you making it for Halloween or just because?

That's sooo cute! I love it. Hey a note about the belt- I was princess Leia one year, and my mom covered some cardboard in aluminum foil, and it came off pretty well.

That's so freakin' cute! You HAVE to get a picture with her in it once it's done. Great idea!

That is amazing (amazing in thought and item!)!  How cool.  We could use some Leia in this household.  Thanks for inspiring!
