i didnt know where to post this..
i am working on a skirt.
it's some vintage fifties fabric, in a very subdued darkish color, very this-season, and i had this lovely sheer creme curtain with layers of pleats, oh it is just unbelievable, absolutely stunning, and i am using a few of the pleats for a slip under the skirt. i need to find some similar fabric for the rest of the slip and then i will finish the skirt.
i think it will fit me, too.
i am excited. also there will be small white buttons.
i will post a pic when i am done. i know it is just an unfair tease to write about it like this, but really i am just excited.
now i dont want to count my egg before it is hatched, but here are a few pictures. i am by no means a seamstress. but i cant wait to finish it <3
the stitch down the centre is from the pleats, i havent made the slip yet but just wanted to see what it would look like, what length to make it.
close up of the fabric. it's so yummy. it looks textured but it's flat.
hehe i used some hideous green thread to baste the hem.. again just to see what it will look like (i'm lame)
there will be 2 small white buttons here i think.
ok that's all. when i am finished i will post to finished projects, i just wanted to vent my excitement for now
