Hi everyone,
I'm a bit new to the whole DIY stuff and just discovered this site .. .it's awesome!!! Was wondering though if anyone's interested in doing a sew along for Holiday/Christmas stockings? I know the holidays aren't *that* close, but I've just discovered knitting  Shocked,  and am still a bit fascinated by the different ones, and have just started working on one. .. .anyone interested?

Hi Smiley thanks for your suggestion .. .. I tried that, and got 1 response. .. .I think the free patterns aren't that pretty, and I can't share my bought-for patterns, so I lucked out Sad But that's ok Smiley
Thanks though!. . you should give knitting another go though, it's pretty fun once you get into it!  Grin

I DEFINITELY need to sew a stocking for my boyfriend. He never had one at his house, but it's tradition here! I thought about the McCall's pattern. Next pattern sale I'm buying one of them, I think.

Oooh... I just love the stockings from the second link, humblestumble!  I think I may try my hand at adapting these myself, especially the one with the upturned-toe.  Thanks for the link!

I'm definitely up for a holiday stocking sew-along.. perhaps it could be a "mixed craft"-along?  So our knitting friends can join in?

Soo... where do we go from here?  I've never participated in a craft-along before (if I had, maybe I'd have fewer unfinished projects littering my floor!).  Anyone else in?

you basically pick and choose the thing you're gonna do, work on it, ask if you have any questions and post your finished products Smiley

Sounds good! Do we need a completion date?  Like, everyone should post by 12/20?  (Sorry - that would be my anal retentive gene showing through  Grin

I hereby throw in my hat!  Err... stocking!
