hi everyone!
i'm getting really excited about halloween this year and one the biggest traditions at my house is the annual carving of the pumpkins. i don't know what i'll try and carve this year (i was thinking about something willie wonka, but we'll see), but i thought i'd share a few carvings from years past...
oh, and if you decide to do shaded pumpkins, wood carving tools work best, but be VERY CAREFUL! i've had a few close calls with the razor's edge!
happy haunting!

this one looked much better in person, i couldn't get a good pic for some reason, but it's still
my favorite, and probably best work ever, harry potter:

the ever-pleasant puffs:

and a simple, yet effectively brooding boba fett:

thanks for lookin!

I am WAY into Harry Potter (for example, my cat, pictured to the left in reindeer antlers, is named Albus Dumbledore), and I ADORE your HP pumpkin. Just the best! I wish I could carve like that. I'm generally happy if I make triangle shaped holes in my pumpkin.

Oh my god! Those are the coolest pumpkins ever! You are very talented. It takes all of my skill and concentration to make a regular triangle-eyed pumpkin. I would say they are "sculpted" pumpkins rather than "carved". ^__^ The Harry Potter one is my favorite. Great work!
