I got the most AMAZING knitting tote from Fadeawaydream last night. It's gorgeous with beautiful african animal fabric and a really cool green fleece contrasting fabric. I love it so much! It's so sturdy and a great size.
She also gave me a Loteria set- two wishes in one.. Yay!!!
I'm going to catch up on picture taking this weekend so watch for tote greatness sometime next week. I love this swap sooo much, it's so amazing that someone who doesn't know me at all would just make me something like that  Grin
BTW.. someone is still waiting for me to send out my second package. I think my deadline is this Fri. but I ordered some stuff on e-bay so I could customize it perfectly for her and I'm still waiting for it to come in. I'm hoping it will arrive in the next couple of days so I can send out Monday. But if you're still waiting and worried you're being flaked on, don't worry.. it's possible you're just my partner and only waiting cause I bought some stuff specially for you!

fingerless mitties!

look at these amazing armwarmers that chrispykreme made for me:

i love them!

they are striped brown and fuscia wool with ribs on the bottms and a cable knit down the top.

they got here a couple of days ago just as the temperature dropped and i don't think i have taken them off much since!

they are great for biking and typing when the heat isn't working and i have gotten a ton of compliments already.

sorry for the delay in posting pictures, but since the full impace of them comes from seeing them on i had to wait until i could lure my sweetie into taking pictures.

she also included a 'dorky' (her word) felted flower pin which i also think is great (it looks pretty cool on the gloves when i am feeling more fashionable.

thank you so much chrispykreme. now i know i need to learn to knit more than a scarf.

Sweetie Pie -- I am so glad that you like them. I was hoping that you would use them to ride your bike around town. I hope you don't mind that it's freeform stripes. Yeah, it's cool to see them on you. I have to admit that I put them on, to test their comfort level  Grin

i love the freeform stripes! and the colours are so lovely - just what i needed. they have even made me break out some of my crazier clothes again. i was in a bit of a black and brown rut.

but what is with my hairy elbow up there? that is really all i see when i look at that picture. i blame my russian heritage.

KiKi_Eks I am so glad you and a lot of others like the scarf! It is my first finished project I posted. I am always second guessing myself and saying "I could have done this or that better." or "I should have done a more complex granny square..." The colors werwe the only think I wasnt second guessing untill my mom said it was ugly, old lady colors. LoL But anyways, I had a blast making it, it has been years since I have made granny squares! I hope you get a lot of use out of it!
