Bleach Pen "Courage" Shirt

I first created the Rock Star Mehndi Bleach Pen Jeans.  Now the Courage shirt.  I saw some of these on a website and in one of those celebrity magazines selling for $60.  I went to Old Navy and purchased a men's thermal shirt for $10 (they're on sale this week).  With a bleach pen I wrote "courage."  Then after one hour, I rinsed it and took it out to the garage, laid it on some plastic and used liquid bleach with a paint brush to get the splatter effect.  Liquid bleach works faster than the bleach pen so stay to watch it so it doesn't eat the fabric.  Also make sure you've got something between the top and bottom layer so it doesn't bleed through--unless of course you want it to!

that's awesome! i have a super comfy black shirt from old navy that i almost instantly ruined w/ one spot of bleach. i never thought to paint it w/ bleach! now i can start wearing it again!

I saw these shirts! I really wanted one... but 60 dollars I did not have. I do think that this is going to be my project for tomorrow...

Thanks!  There's so many things to create with a bleach pen it's endless.  I saw a pair of Converse tennies done up really cool.

I never heard of a bleach pen. Could you show me an on-line picture of it, or an on-line shop that sells them?
Could it be possible to make your on bleach pen out of an old empty marker that you fill with liquid bleach?

No nobody has an online store with bleach pens? I have searched for them e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e possibly thinkable, but my search is in vain. I even bought a shirt especially to bleachify!

I've only seen the clorox bleach pen in the detergent aisle.

ok, i went stupid and forgot that the shirt i was trying to copy said humanity, (it looked the easiest, and i was feeling lazy,) and i wrote honesty on it instead. i'm happy w/ it either way.

I saw a bleach pen at Dollar Tree the other day in the aisle where there's the sponges & kitchen stuff.

After seeing this, I might have to buy one.

I like it, you can also use the clorox gel cleaner, my friend made a stamp out of a foamie and brushed the stamp with the gel and let it sit a while, it came out fantastic and very defined, it almost reminded me of the batik prints..
